About:
Dan Parent is an award-winning writer and artist of Archie Comics and has also worked on books for DC, Dynamite, Disney, Mattel, and many, many more.
After graduating from the Kubert School, Dan began his historic work on Archie Comics. Dan received widespread attention for his work on Archie: Love Showdown in 1994. In 2010 he created the first openly gay Archie character Kevin Keller in Veronica #202. Kevin Keller was given his own title in 2012. In 2015 he illustrated Archie vs Sharknado, which was a tie in to Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! In 2016 Dan and Fernando Ruiz published Die Kitty Die, which was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign. In 2018 Dan illustrated Archie meets Batman ’66, which was a joint publication between Archie Comics and DC. He was the recipient of the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book, and the Harvey Award for Special Award for Humor in Comics in 2013.
